Projects
A selection of completed projects with Protector Guardrail roof-edge protection — from grid management and production to Defence, the Dutch judiciary, and Rijkswaterstaat.
Enexis — Kolham
Drag the slider: where the roof edge was previously unprotected, a continuous guardrail now runs around the entire roof.
Permanent collective roof-edge protection was installed at the Enexis facility in Kolham. The before-and-after images show the result: where the roof edge was previously unprotected, a continuous collective fall-protection system now runs around the entire roof. The system allows safe maintenance of the roof and the solar panels.
IND — Ter Apel
With the introduction of the European Migration Pact, the IND (Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service) site in Ter Apel is undergoing major changes. In a dynamic working environment, the safety of staff is essential. We contributed to the realisation of this fencing project of more than 1.3 km at the location. By opting for high-quality collective fall protection, a safe infrastructure was created that fits perfectly with the organisation’s new operational requirements.
Probo
Collective roof-edge protection was installed around the production roof at Probo. The roofs are largely covered with solar panels; the protection runs along the roof edges so the installation remains safely accessible for maintenance. The work was carried out in phases.
Air Base Eindhoven
Collective roof-edge protection was installed on a building at Vliegbasis Eindhoven (Eindhoven Air Base). The system permanently secures the roof edge, enabling safe maintenance work on the roof.
District Court Groningen
The courthouse of Rechtbank Groningen (Groningen District Court) — part of the Dutch national judiciary organisation de Rechtspraak — was fitted with permanent roof-edge protection. The collective fall-protection system runs along the edges of the various roof levels, enabling safe roof maintenance.
Lock Weurt
At the Weurt lock complex near Nijmegen, collective roof-edge protection was installed on top of the lock structures. The on-site installation can be seen in the accompanying video. The system enables safe inspection and maintenance at height.
Agilent Technologies — Middelburg
At the Agilent Technologies technology complex in Middelburg, managed by CBRE | GWS EMEA, a total of 639 metres of roof-edge protection was installed across seven roof surfaces between January and March 2026. Alongside the guardrail, three caged ladders, one façade ladder and two crossover platforms were installed, making the roof fully accessible and demonstrably safe via fixed climbing provisions. The entire project is documented in a technical project dossier compliant with BBL §4.7.11, including a building-specific Eurocode calculation, with a ten-year warranty.
